The Tenant Fees Act bans letting fees paid by tenants in the private rented sector and caps tenancy deposits in England.

The aim of the Tenant Fees Act is to provide tenants with a more realistic view of what a given property will cost them when it is being advertised. It will show tenants the cost of the wider package rather than introducing hidden fees at a later date.
