Landlords in Gainsborough will be required to apply for a licence from the 18^th July 2016 as part of the Council’s Selective Licensing Scheme, which will include around 500 properties in the private rented sector. As part of the scheme landlords will be required to meet specific licence conditions which are aimed at improving the standard of management in the area and reducing levels of anti-social behaviour.

The Council will be working with any landlord accreditation schemes in the area as part of the project and the licence fee will be £375 for the five year period.
