Health & Safety Essentials for the Private Rented Sector Landlords & Agents
Duration: Full day
Delivery Method: Virtual OR Face to Face
Who is this course for? Landlords, Agents and other Housing Professionals
Course Content:
Managing repairs, ensuring homes are safe, and meeting legal standards are core responsibilities for private landlords and letting agents.
Yet the PRS is governed by a complex mix of legislation, guidance and enforcement powers — all of which are evolving as the sector prepares for the new HHSRS 2 framework and strengthened expectations around damp and mould, fitness, and property condition.
This full‑day course provides a clear, practical guide to the health and safety duties that apply in the PRS.
Delegates will explore the updated HHSRS hazard profiles, understand how to identify and manage risks in rented homes, and learn how to build robust inspection and repairs processes that withstand local authority scrutiny.
The session blends legal requirements with real‑world examples, case law, and best practice from across the sector
