Expo to set agenda for responsible landlords - coming soon

Tags: EMPO, EXPO, Landlords

East Midlands Property Owners (EMPO), the organisation which represents the interests of residential landlords across the region, is gearing up to host the East Midlands Landlord Expo at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Friday 8th May 2015, from 10am until 4pm.

The Expo will provide the platform for landlords, letting agents and property investors to establish contact, exchange information and network with exhibitor companies and other property stakeholders from across the East Midlands.

Giles Inman, Development Manager at EMPO, said: "Like in any other industry, it pays for landlords to network - not only to make new contacts, but also to find out about the latest in regulation, opportunities and how to be become an even more responsible landlord.

"This issue of responsibility is crucial. Landlords do get a bad press and on occasion, it is clearly warranted. However, the vast majority are doing their best to keep up with changing legislation and demands and that certainly goes for our members. This EXPO is for anyone involved in the industry or indeed for those who are looking at joining it. Yes, we demand high standards but we make no apologies for that - landlords have great responsibilities."

Established in 1942, East Midlands Property Owners Ltd (EMPO) is a not-for-profit Landlords Association that represents the need of Residential Landlords across the East Midlands.

EMPO works with Government, Local Authorities and Industry to provide the best deal possible for independent landlords in this region.

The organisation is run by an elected committee, experts in their own field within the property market, dedicated to ensuring that members of the association benefit from their collective strength.

EMPO is widely regarded as one of the most progressive Landlords Associations in the country, with growing membership numbers and solid working relationships with local authorities across the region.
