DASH & RHE Conference 2017

Safeguarding the health of tenants:

Using the Housing Act 2004 & the HHSRS effectively

Wednesday 27 September 2017

The Birmingham Repertory Theatre
Broad Street
B1 2EP

One of the stated aims of the Housing Act 2004 has always been to squeeze the bad landlords out of the sector, not only to protect the most vulnerable tenants but as a matter of fairness for the better landlords. The changes introduced by the Housing and Planning Act 2016, and provisions progressively coming into force, give additional powers to LAs to help make that aim a reality.

Providing an update and opportunities to learn from colleagues’ experiences -  this conference is for practitioners and managers responsible for private sector housing enforcement. It is also suitable for legal professionals, surveyors, policy officers and housing professionals from all sectors wishing to remain current with housing practice and the law.

For a full event summary please click here.

The conference will be chaired by Dr Helen Carr, Professor of Law and Judge at the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).

Siobhan McGrath, President of the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
