New Antisocial Behaviour Guide

Antisocial behaviour (ASB) is defined as actions that harm, or lack consideration for the well-being of otherswhich can include, but is not limited to:

  • Excessive noise,

  • Fly-tipping,

  • Graffiti, and

  • The build up of refuse.

Antisocial behaviour is a problem that influences everyone in the community and can reduce demand for property in the area as well as rental values, so it is in your best interests as a landlord to tackle any ASB that may arise in your property. Nottingham City Council has produced this handy guide which highlights:

  • The Nature of ASB in Housing

  • Reporting Anti-social Behaviour

  • Landlord Good Practice

  • Reasonable Steps to Combat and Reduce ASB

  • ASB and Large Scale Parties

  • Enforcement Options, and

  • Landlord’s ASB action plans
